Mrs. Collins' Thursday Thoughts

Congratulations to an awesome Science Team!!!

The Science Olympics competition was fantastic this past Saturday at Columbus High School. The students had a great time, and everyone worked so hard.  So hard as a matter of fact, every student placed in at least one event, meaning that every student received at least one medal. The results are as follows:  4th Grade received: 6 -  Gold medals,  4 -  Silver medals and 4 -  Bronze medals  & 5th Grade received   3 -  1st place medals and & 10 -  2nd place medals

4th grade Olympiad participants were; Tanner Goldsmith, Lizzie Hassenplug, Ryan Holtzen, Bailey McDonald, Matthew Phillips,

Briana Sellers, and Ashwin Thiruppathi.

5th Grade Olympiads were; Varad Dabke, Coleman Jones, Jake Jones. Carly Smart, Farita Tasnim, Sam VanHoveln, and Kevin Applegate

Overall, Britt David received:

9  - Gold Medals,

14  - Silver Medals and

4  -  Bronze Medals

The Science Olympics coaches were Barbara Brown and Cindy Applegate. They would not have been able to accomplish such success without the help of Carol and Eddie Jones, Donnie Jones, Peggy VanHovln, and Terri Holtzen. This was a great group of hard working, and dependable parents!!!
